Generation 1: Ayva Simmons

Meet my Founder sim -- Ayva Simmons!

With close observations & people whom had seen me in person before would realise that she was created in my very own image; adorning the long-straight hair, dressed in basic top coupled with jeans & even the smallest detail wasn't left out, that is my mole!

Oh well, you can probably say my simself looks better/prettier than the bonafide...

Founder Background

Although born & bred with a silver spoon in her mouth, Ayva Simmons is definately not looking forward towards her 'sweet' 18th birthday unlike most young girls in SIMcity. Her father, strongly believes that boys are an asset to the family; being able to carry on the family bloodline, and girls are liability akin spilled milk -- no point crying over.

However, she still thank GOD -- much as girls are not valued in the society, she could have been aborted without second thoughts, if her parents were from the poor & low income. So, blessed with no lack for the past 17 years of her life, she is grateful for this precious gift of life.

But everything has its time...

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck
up that which is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

(Ecclesiastes 3:1-8)

In just days, she would be fresh out of high school, forced with 2 options from her father...
Her choice is to be married off or be disowned by her family.

Ayva has to escape the clutches of her evil father who was about to marry her off to the Lothario family in order to clinch the multi-simoleans merger deal -- if marrying her to the infamous womanizer, Don Lothario wasn't bad enough; it was to his father, 70YO Nicolo Lothario!

Her mother had died 8 years ago and thou' she had 3 other brothers, they were all following in the footsteps of their evil father. Ayva knew just what she had to do, there's no way she's gonna let her father dictate her life!

Introduction

My legacy family last name "Simmons" is inspired by a random interview on E! News. No other reason except being easy to pronounce, unlike my previous pre-mature legacy 'Maranello' whom a friend commented it having too many alphabets to type, too many syllabus to pronounce, sigh...

I am still deciding if I should keep the first names in alphabetical order by generation or something else. I agree that the former is less confusing for me, as well as you guys reading it but I do have some head-cracking moments where I struggled to type in a baby name bound by the generation alphabet (ie. Gen 2 = alphabet 'B', Gen 3 = alphabet 'C', etc...) so I am putting this on the back burner & see how the game would proceed before I come up with some order, hopefully.

I have also chosen to partake the following optional rules in my TS3 Legacy Challenge:
  • Matriarchy
  • Story Teller

In my former legacy I had created my own rule that the Founder & Heirs sims may only marry & have kids with Service Sims (ie. Maids/Police/Firefighters/Pizza Delivery/Mail Carriers/Repair Technicians/Burglars/Social Workers/Repoman & Magicians...). I agree that it would bring my game to a greater height with the possibilities of heirs having "hidden traits" which can only be achieve through breeding with service sims (ie. Makes no Messes, Immune to Fire, ability to Apprehend Burglar, Pizza Appreciator, etc...) and prevents my sim from marrying into "rich" to dilute the essence of this challenge but unfortunately I had abolished this rule midway through playing the Simmons legacy because I realised the male sim-pulation in Sunset Valley is excruciating pathetic, that is male-to-female ratio, 1:10.

Perhaps someday if/when I do complete the Simmons legacy & the reader driven motivation is high, I might consider starting another legacy on Riverview to continue this rule but that's no promises.

But until then, now come join me in journey with the Simmons Family.
